Andrea has been affectionately referred to by some of her clients and friends as the “Insurance Goddess”. She is a Chartered Insurance Professional, who has specialized in business insurance for over 25 years.
She established her own brokerage in 2008 and has grown from there. Andrea loves that she and her team of Insurance Specialists are servicing her clients daily in ways that help her to build customer relationships and maintain the highest standard of customer care. Together with her staff, the office now boasts combined business insurance experience of over 122 years, which allows them to help clients with every phase of their insurance needs.
Andrea deals with all kinds of companies from Community Associations to Non-Profit Organizations, Architects and Engineers, Large and Small Contractors, Transportation, Technology, Oil & Gas Companies and Consultants. Whether it is General Liability, Property, Business Interruption, Professional or Directors & Officers Liability, Automobile Fleets, Bonding or Course of Construction coverage you can count on her expertise to find the best coverage for your business.
Her new clients come almost exclusively from referrals. The overriding comment from all who deal with Andrea is that she truly cares and wants to know lots of details about them and their business. Lisa MacDonald, CAIB
Lisa began her career as an Underwriter in 1976. In 1979, she joined the brokerage force and has been a Broker ever since. Lisa has worked on virtually all facets of commercial and personal insurance throughout her career. Lisa holds her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker designation, which she achieved in 1990.
Lisa has been a Board Member of three local non-profit organizations over the past 15 years, and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer for the Food Bank in her area.
In her free time she enjoys calligraphy, gardening and reading.

Laurel A. McAlpine, CAIB
Laurel began her insurance career in 1982. She has worked as both an underwriter with insurance companies, as well as a broker, working mainly on the personal lines side of things. She is excited to join Collis Insurance and work with commercial clients as well.
Laurel obtained her Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2008 and continues to learn to help clients as much as possible.
Laurel strives to always help others and has volunteered at YMCA Sherriff King Home as well as the Calgary Dream Center. In Laurel’s spare time she enjoys crafts, DIY projects, gardening and cooking.

Pati Alexander, CIP
Pati Graduated in 1995 from the General Insurance and Business Administration Diploma program at Mount Royal College/University and received CIP designation in 1996. She worked for an Insurance Company for 3 years and since then has worked in brokerages in various positions. Pati is not a licensed broker but certainly provides a lot of behind the scenes support for our clients.
Pati moved from Calgary to Creston, BC in 2006 and started working with Andrea in 2008.
In her free time Pati loves playing golf and kayaking in the summer and cross country skiing in the winter. She and her husband also enjoy spending time with family and friends at a cabin they recently built together.
With over 40 years insurance processing experience, Linda joined Collis Insurance in May 2015. Linda takes care of our in-house processing – where she is responsible for reviewing and processing renewals and endorsements, ordering policy changes where necessary and putting together a lot the documentation that goes out to the clients. Linda had previously retired but came to Collis on a part-time basis to provide assistance to our brokers. Linda is not licensed to deal with the public directly but certainly provides a lot of behind the scenes support to our clients.
In her spare time you will find Linda spending time with Children and Grandchildren. She also loves to travel and plays bridge on a regular basis with some of her friends.
Laura-Lee brings a wealth of varied (non-insurance) experience to her role at Collis Insurance. She has worked previously with large Oil & Gas Companies in Administration, Accounting and Human Resources, a Card Making Business, Entertainment Booking Agent to owning her own tattoo shop with her son. Highly computer literate, her current passion is learning all about Internet Based Marketing through websites, Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, etc.
For a change of pace, Laura-Lee joined Collis Insurance in Feb 2013. While not licensed to provide insurance assistance to the public, she provides a variety of behind-the-scenes assistance that helps keep the company running smoothly. Currently, Laura-Lee provides Accounting Support, Office Administration / Management support and manages the Website(s) and other Social Media efforts at Collis Insurance.
In her down-time, you will find Laura-Lee “playing” on her computer, walking her dogs, and spending time with her family.
